AUTHOR: tbooty DATE: 7/07/2004 08:28:00 PM ----- BODY: i. am. caught. up. with everyone's blogs over the last couple of days. i am loving the access i have to a laptop computer. (new job perk.) i am lying on my stomach, on my bed people!, as i am typing this blog up! this is freakin' awesome! here's an update of what i've been up to over the last few days....

~friday i went up to my new office and fell in love. there is a walmart (the next best thing to a target) not 4 minutes from my office. another thing close to my office? the DOLLAR store! woo hoo!! gotta love that. went there today at lunch and bought a few things. (well, 10 things i guess, since it cost me $10) unpacked all of my stuff and got all settled in. went to the lasik 2-week post op appointment on friday and guess what? i can still see! now i don't have to go back until september or so. cool.

~finally got to sleep after my late night post on friday. got my nails done TWICE on saturday for the wedding. (long story) went and got my hair done. went to the wedding. saw some people that i hadn't seen in a while and got caught up. came home and relaxed.

~sunday i was torn between wanting to go to the town 4th celebration and not really giving a shit if i went. i wavered back and forth and decided that i wouldn't really miss it much if i skipped this years round of "this is my fiance'/fiancee'" or "i just got married" or "we just found out we're pregnant", etc. i was having a "i don't want to see how my life (or lack thereof) stacks up against the people i went to elementary school with" kind of day. don't get me wrong. i love my childhood friends and all that, but seeing as how i haven't had a boyfriend in 8 years (yeah, i said 8 years) i was NOT in the mood to hear about other people's happiness. kim had a post about this same topic not too long ago. i totally agree with you girl! so what did i do instead of the town 4th thing? i went to the movies. by myself. saw dodgeball. zoot was so right! this movie is "effin" hysterical! jason bateman? classic! it was totally goofy but just the right tone for where i was on sunday. i watched the fireworks on tv. shut up. i didn't have to fight any traffic and i was able to see 3, count 'em 3, finales. it was cool.

~monday i went to lunch with a friend and saw spiderman 2. (also very good) i loved how they set you up for spidey 3! it was quite entertaining. i stopped and got my car washed on the way home, and of course it rained yesterday! oh well. that's the way it goes i suppose. ok. i'm done for now. the new job is going very well. i'm not dead from getting up at 5:30ish. (who knew 5:30 came twice a day?) i'm getting back into the gym routine and wanted to give a shout out to kim of mittennkim for her success on the weight loss thing. you go girl! peace out. --------
