really. i haven't died or moved to siberia or anything. and it's not even like my blog is the only thing that's suffered. i haven't been home for dinner in days. my cats don't remember what i look like. and the worse affront? i haven't watched ALIAS for 2 weeks! (not to worry, it is tivoed! hallelujah for my brother!) but that gives you an indicator of how crazy it's been around here the last week or so. here's just a peek:
thurs was supposed to go to dinner with a friend. her car got stolen and retrieved the same day. however, dinner was rescheduled.
sat nite went on a "date" with a new guy. we'll call him "train man" as what he does for a living is drive freight trains. well. he wasn't that special and on second thought, i don't want to waste energy describing him. heh.
sun nite was supposed to go to the movies with "chef boy". he had to go pick someone up, so he called and cancelled.
mon nite was supposed to meet "persistent boy" at red robin for dinner. i showed up. he didn't. i waited the requisite 30 minutes and then i left. fucker. what's up with that? you try to get me to go out with you for 2-3 weeks, i finally say yes and then you don't show? not only that you don't call with an excuse??? i don't get it.
tues nite went to thai dinner with "rafting boy". very nice. cute, funny, et al. will keep you posted on that one.
last nite went to the spectacle that is the village people and cher. ok. two things i didnt' get. one, why why why did the village people sing only 3 of their own songs? and where the hell was the construction worker? and how can they be called the "original" village people when half of them weren't original??? and two, how in the name of all that is holy can cher look so damn good still? she must have made a pact with satan or something. heh.
the show was amazing. and i have to admit, i have a new crush. i know ya'll will laugh at me, but i don't care. the new "biker" of the village people is HOT HOT HOT!!! and we got to see him after their set was over, since we had such good seats and could see where he came out of from backstage. so my friend and i stared at him. and totally hated the woman that he was talking to (we figure she must have been an old friend).
tonight is the dinner that was postponed from last week. girlie catch up time with a dear friend.
tomorrow, a date with "chef boy".
sat afternoon, a date with "navy boy".
so you can maybe cut me a little slack for slacking off on blogging the last week. i'm trying to get back into the swing of it.
