AUTHOR: tbooty DATE: 5/20/2004 06:38:00 PM ----- BODY: ok. so i caught the crud that's been going around lately. lucky me. not. as a person that used to be in the medical industry, let me just say that i suck as a patient. luckily for me, i didn't have the puking version of the crud. that would've sucked bad. i had the temperature, headache, generally felt like crap version. i slept a lot. we're talking sleeping in about 12 hour shifts here. and even when i was awake, i didn't get out of bed unless i had to. (you know food, trips to the little girls room, etc.) now my boss is way cool about us taking days off. this is a good thing. especially since this coincided with me getting new loan officers! (while it's not official until 6/1, i started taking over on the new files today.) luckily, nothing earth shattering was going on this week, so it wasn't really that big a deal that i missed 2 days. thank God! if i'd been at my last job? i'd have gotten about a million phone calls between the 2 days. this job? zero calls. it's a beautiful thing! i was able to sleep with no worries that the damn phone was going to wake me up every 20 minutes or so. and you want to know the best thing about being sick? (other than all the sleep, of course!) my princess cat gabby (SHE thinks she's a princess anyway!) slept on the bed with me and kept my company almost the entire time. i swear, animals can tell when you're not feeling well! makes you feel loved, don't it? answer to tani trivia: j is right again! you go girl! i was way pissed that my damn cell phone wasn't working when i got to oakland. tani trivia #7: how many times have i been to las vegas (or lost wages, if you will)? p.s. the 3rd best thing about staying home sick? being able to watch tlc and court tv all day! (well, at least when i was awake!) --------
