AUTHOR: tbooty DATE: 5/27/2004 08:48:00 AM ----- BODY: ok. kymmie's been pestering me to tell this story. j has been asking for this story. i will warn you, it may be funnier to those of us that were there. (you know, one of those classic, "you had to be there", things) you have been warned. i have a younger brother. we are 2 years apart. kymmie and i have known each other since 2nd grade and she was my bestest friend growing up. we spent a lot of time together, both at school and out of school. (did any of you have to ride the bus to school? we used to get off the bus at each other's houses A LOT. and we lived about 15-20 minutes apart, which meant that one of our parents had to come get us, unless we were spending the night. 'nuff said.) my brother and i were very close when we were growing up. we did just about everything together. we almost never fought. let's put it this way, as young children, if i was playing barbies and he wasn't playing with his friends, i would use his star wars figures as children for barbie and ken. i also had a little stuffed bumble bee. his name was jongi. (pronounced jon-jee) even though jongi was a bee, he was also used as a child for barbie and ken. my brother, we'll call him jeef, would always want to play with jongi. in fact, if i recall correctly, that damn bee was one of the few things we ever fought about. now, you guys know how kymmie is. she is a i'm-gonna-kick-your-ass-now-and-ask-questions-later kind of girl. always has been. i mean this is the girl that wasn't afraid of the bullies in jr. high school. she had that "bring it on bitch" attitude way back then. i admired her and was eternally grateful that she was my friend. still do, as a matter of fact. but i digress. at that point in time, kymmie didn't have her own brother to torment. so she used mine. here's what we used to do for fun when we were together..... we used to corner my brother, trap him on the floor (usually between the bed and the wall so he couldn't escape) and then tickle him and "beat" him with jongi. (when i say beat, i mean pummel. we NEVER actually hurt him, though. just for those of you shouting "cps!")usually it ended with us laughing so hard that all 3 of us were crying. we were odd kids. let's face it. we had fun beating my little brother with a stuffed bee. the really funny part? i still have jongi. he's all packed up with the aforementioned barbie dolls. and the funniest thing? a few years back i happened across the "barbie box" and looked thru it. i found not only jongi, but a star wars figure! guess i'll hand the whole box down to my own daughter someday. jongi and star wars figure included. how's that for a hope chest? --------
