AUTHOR: tbooty DATE: 5/13/2004 03:40:00 PM ----- BODY: so the whole office with the exception of myself and one other gal is in training today and tomorrow. normally this would be good. today, not so good. why? you ask? (ok, so you didn't ask, but i really really needed you to ask, so i asked for you) as you know i am a mortgage processor. (yes, j & lee, you're both correct!) we just had a major charter conversion where our name was changed and we couldn't have any loans sign between the 5th thru yesterday. so today is the first day that loans can sign again. great. not! i had 2 of my own files to get ready for signing. after a little fancy footwork, they are ready to have docs sent out. awesome. one of the loan officers, knowing she was going to be in training, asked if i'd cover her files and follow up on things for her. no problem. i worked with her last week while her processor was on vacation, so i know all of her files. had to get a few of hers ready in addition to my 2. fine. now when i say everyone in the office, i mean my manager too. he's at this training too. so at 12:30 I get a call. one of the "problem children" in the office has a file that has problems. surprise surprise. every single one of this loan officer's files have been a nightmare. this person, to put it mildly, wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the ass. also, they apparently do not know how a telephone works, because they never call their clients back. not a good way to conduct business, but there you go. so, i get asked to follow up on this file. fine. i call and find out what i can, which is not the best of news. i relay said news to my boss thru voicemail and get a call back. "let's try this....." he says. fine. i called my contact and tried to do what i could and was told that what we were trying to do probably wasn't going to work. ok. not the best news, but pretty much what i anticipated. so, my phone rings and it's the client whose deal is messed up. she's pissed. duh. who wouldn't be? but don't take it out on me. i haven't even worked on this file! i'm trying to help you, so don't yell at me. what pisses me off more than having to deal with a pissy client that isn't even one of my files is that the loan officer just ASSUMED that i'd take care of their shit. that does NOT make me a happy camper. it's one thing to try to soothe a pissed off customer that i actually know what's going on with their file. it's totally something else to be trying to do that on a file you don't know 2 shits about! aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! anyways. enough about that. here's more trivia for you..... tani trivia # 5 how do i know kymmie?
