AUTHOR: tbooty DATE: 7/16/2004 06:45:00 PM ----- BODY: so i've now had 2 full weeks at the "new" job. my drive is a lot longer now. about 70 minutes as opposed to the 40-45 i was driving before. it's not really that big a deal, as it's all against traffic, so it's all "driving" time. (that plus i want to move to a town that's about 20 minutes away from where i live now AND is towards work, so once that happens, it'll be about 50 minutes again.) anywho, driving home today, here are a few things i saw/thought about.......

~whipping head around as vehicle goes past~ was that the FUCKING partridge family bus? i swear that it was! it looked just like it! what kind of freak is driving around in THAT thing?
~after seeing one of those calvin stickers on the back of a horse trailer~ it's nice to see one of those where calvin isn't peeing on something for a change! but him kneeling in front of a cross? somehow i don't picture calvin doing that!
~tuning into my "80's weekend" radio station to find that they're doing a telethon of sorts~ while i think it's commendable that they're doing this for make a wish foundation, 1) i want to listen to 80's music dammit! and 2) i can't listen to the parents of these kids talk about what's wrong with them. it'll make me bawl!
~driving past the safeway that has gas pumps~ woo hoo! it's down to 1.96 a gallon (if you have the safeway card, of course)
~singing along (badly) to the alanis cd in the car~ damn! wish my voice would stop cracking!

and imagine my surprise to see that the new additions to blogger will let me post photos on here without using hello! (damn thing worked once and then crapped out. glad i didn't pay for the upgrade!) i've talked about my "children" (the cats, of course) on here before. here is what the little darlings look like:
