AUTHOR: tbooty DATE: 8/22/2004 09:54:00 PM ----- BODY: had my birthday extravaganza last night at the local casino. and i? had. a. BLAST! not everyone that said they'd be there actually showed, but after initial annoyance, i didn't even miss them. i had dinner with a group of friends at the buffet. i got some awesome presents (including a new digital camera from my parents!) and for a change this year, not to sound ungrateful or anything, there were no gifts that i wanted to exchange. that? in and of itself is awesome! like i said, i don't mean to sound ungrateful, but when was the last time any of you had a christmas or birthday where you LOVED everything you got? now, mind you, since my birthday isn't until tomorrow, there are still presents to be had, so who knows what will happen then. no matter. i'm totally stoked that my friends know me as well as they do. the band that was supposed to be playing at the "cabaret" at the casino wasn't actually there, so that was kinda a bummer. it does mean, though, that a girls night out of dancing will most likely be happening either this coming weekend or labor day weekend. woo hoo! i can't even remember the last time we went dancing downtown. acutally, i can. it was last halloween! wow! i'm so old! oh well. we did get some gambling in last night. now, let me tell you. the town this casino is in? is EXTREMELY small. this means that it's very very busy on friday and saturday nights. being as that is so, it's hard to get onto tables to actually "donate" your money. my boss and i managed to get onto a roulette table after dinner. we played for awhile, then went to the lounge to hear the band that was there and drink, then went back to the same table. when all was said and done i walked away with $450.00 in profit! it was awesome! now i have mad money for when i go to vegas in october! happy birthday to me! hope you all had a wonderful weekend! --------
