now we all know that i haven't been dating much lately. so i find it extremely odd what's been happening lately. let me 'splain. (and i shall use bullets to do it, for am i that bored right now.)

• river boy and i talk all the time on the computer, but when we're together or on the phone, we don't address each other with our names. it's always babe, sexy, hunny (yes, he spells it that way), etc. i find this intriguing and a bit odd. not in an alarming way, just odd.

• i am not a very self confident girl when it comes to dating. i'm not quite sure why this is. anyway, last year i signed up for yahoo personals. i met a guy last year thru it. it was fun, but it didn't last. that's it. one guy. for $100 i got one guy. not sure it was worth the $. oh well. so, the subscription expires this month. i check the mailbox that is attached to the personal every few days, and there was a new message the other day. long story short, the guy has messenger and we talked by im yesterday and today. during our conversation today, two things struck me as odd. we've never met and never spoken outside of cyberspace. first, he asked me if i was bi. um, wtf? when i asked WHY he would ask me that, he came back with, well, it's pretty a common thing to ask these days. oh really? news to me. the other thing? he was calling me "baby". um, do i KNOW you? no? well then wtf is your problem? that was just odd to me. am i over-reacting? (this from someone who used to HATE it when people i didn't know called me honey or sweetie.)

• i'm glad that my boss comes back to work next week. as much as i love surfing other's blogs, it's hard to keep yourself entertained for 8 hours doing just that. and i can only do so much online research for my vegas trip in october.

• speaking of the vegas trip, i'll be there over halloween weekend. anyone have any ideas of what kind of costume i can get away with down there?

• good news front. since i started working out again, i've lost 1 inch from my hips and waist and thighs. woo hoo!
