• monday was my actual birthday. got a "antique" stuffed mickey mouse that plays the mickey mouse march. very very cute! love it!
• have been crazy busy at work. may get friday off (with pay) 'cause my boss feels bad that i had to work on my birthday and the majority of the office wasn't even there to celebrate with me.
• there have been torrential downpours here in the seattle area. (ok, not really. but when it doesn't rain for 3 months and then it rains 24/7 for like 4 days? it feels torrential.)
• have talked to the blast from the past again and exchanged a few emails. it's pretty cool. he may meet up with us in vegas in october
• think i finally got a friend to understand the whole "river boy" thing from my perspective. figured out why said friend was having such an issue with it. i think it's all good now.
• am looking forward to when the olympics are over so i can get back to going to bed at a decent hour!
• am hoping the storms/torrential downpours are almost done 'cuz there's nothing worse than being in the shower in the middle of washing/conditioning your hair and having the power go out. (especially if you are on a well and the pump doesn't work when the generator is on!)

i swear i'll write more soon. all of a sudden tomorrow is thursday already! where the hell has the week gone??
